From Darmani to Palachak, the trail is mostly gradual and surrounded by thick pine forests. The path is wide and comfortable, allowing trekkers of all age groups to complete the journey.

By Road
Bir is well connected by road with major cities like Delhi, Chandigarh, and Shimla via NH 154 and NH 503. From Bir, Rajgundha is accessible by local taxi.
By Air
Nearest airport is Kangra (Gaggal) Airport, approximately 68 km from Bir.
By Train
Nearest broad gauge railway station is Pathankot. From Pathankot, you can travel to Joginder Nagar via narrow gauge train. Ahju Railway Station is around 3 km from Bir.
The trek distance is approximately 8 km one way from Rajgundha village.
Palachak is located at an altitude of about 4,280 meters above sea level.
The best time to visit is from April to October. Winter months may not be suitable due to cold weather conditions.
